How much time does it take to build and publish an app?
If you use EventPedia program scheduling module, your event app is effectively ready to launch when you finish building your program. All your speaker data, session information, presentations, times, rooms, etc., are synced in real time, so you never need to change anything in more than one place.
Your event app just needs a few pieces of specific artwork and, ideally, some custom pages, such as Things to Do in XXXX, About the Committee, a Venue Map, Wifi/Speaker Ready Room info, etc., and it’s ready to publish!
Do I need an Apple Developer Account?
Yes, you need an Apple Developer Account to use either the Branded Conference App or the Multi-Event App. However, you do not need an ADA to use the Container App. Even with the container app, your event app and program are fully customized and branded to match your conference, but the actual app in the stores is not custom-branded for you. Attendees will download EventPedia app called “eConference.io” and enter a unique code for your event.
Is there attendee-to-attendee networking?
Yes, our app offers multiple tools for networking! Attendees can send direct messages to each other through the app. Additionally, if you are using EventPedia registration tools, your attendees can make connections on-site by scanning other attendees’ badges.
Can exhibitors scan attendees' badges for lead information?
Well, yes, but not through our conference mobile apps. We offer a separate Exhibitor Lead Retrieval App called LeadR, which is made specifically for exhibitors to scan attendee badges, take notes, follow up, and export their leads. This is different from attendee-to-attendee scanning and connecting through the conference app.
What advertising opportunities does the app provide?
Lots of options!
A “Splash Screen” can load each time the app is opened, which “splashes” in the screen, giving great visibility to key app sponsors. You can set the number of seconds you want this ad to appear.
A “Welcome Sponsor Video” that plays in addition to the splash screen – this should be a brief message or plug for a key sponsor. After the user watches it once for the day, they can skip through it the next time.
Banner ads at the bottom of the app that can link to sponsors’ websites or landing pages. But don’t worry! If you offer CMEs at your conference and you can’t mix the “church and state,” we can restrict any sponsorship information from the entire program!
There is a fixed ad that can be placed on the left menu when it slides out – this is also very high visibility for your sponsors ($$)
Get creative with your mobile event app sponsorship opportunities. Many conferences send our sponsored instant push notifications on behalf of their key sponsors or exhibitors to keep the companies in mind before, during, and after the conference.
